The race was incredible. With a 4:30 a.m. start--running through the cane fields and running through the smoke of a cane fire early. Once we got up the mountain, other than one cool, rainy section, the weather was spectacular. The summit--sunny and warm!!
Congratulations to all the runners!!

Aloha All run to the sun finishers, Thank you all for coming out to Maui and participate in the 28th running of the race. First time ever that we're sold out wow! Personnaly I thought it went well hope you felt the same. Would love to hear any feedback, suggestions etc. shoot me an email mauibram@aol.com Next years race is 3/14/09 Hope to see you all then. A fun, fun race! I have the auspicious honor of being in last place (80th men's) and I had the pleasure of running and chatting with Karl Wirtl for most of the first half. Aid stations were sooo awesome! Big shakas to all the volunteers from the slipper guy!
