Directions to Turn-around:
Going into Waimanalo from the race start or Kailua on Kalanianaole Highway, you take the second street to the right (past Olomana Golf Course) Turn on to Kumuhau Street. Take that up mauka (toward the mountains) until you come to a stop sign and T in the road. Turn right onto Waikupanaha Street and stay on that for about 1/2 a mile (might be less than 1/2 mile). Trail head is on your right and is marked by DLNR signs.

i need a relay partner, anyone is welcome, I plan on only running out to Waimanalo, does anyone know where the turn around is exactly? So if you are my partner, I'm sorry but I would not be able to meet up with you at the finish.

Looking for info..a friend & I plan to run the relay. Do both of us show up at the Pali lookout? The PL site says the park opens at 0900, race registration is at 0630, is there anything special to do/know to gain park access. Any info on trail elevation? thanks & we'll see you on saturday

No Kermi there, piglet, but I'll be waiting along the trail with my famous wilipua'a ready to dance the hana ma'i with you, just like I do with Pele and her sisters--grunt grunt.
