Aloha Athletes !
It really gave me a thrill to walk by the magazine section at Border's and see the cover of the December 2008 issue of Runner's World with our buddy David Goggin's picture on it. Wow ! Too cool ! My copy will remain a treasure. Inside, there's a nice 2 pages devoted to telling how David got started in ultrarunning and mentions the HURT 100 race. The story will give you an idea of what a remarkable man David really is. On December 13, there is supposed to be a television program on NBC that covers the recent Ironman World Championship in Kona. David is one of the featured athletes in that program. You will have an opportunity to see David live and in action on January 17, 2009 at the HURT 100, along with some of Hawaii's premier endurance athletes (and some from the Mainland, Canada and other parts of the world). Congratulations David. You are the man ! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy ! Don
Good for DG. Now we need to setup an autograph booth at HURT check in to allow all the ladies a chance to chat. I can just see Murphy in drag to get a little closer (I'm going pay for that one). Good on you David!

David Goggins deserves any recognition that he receives. This man is an unbelievable inspiration, a motivator for all types of people, and an American hero! He is a hybrid between human and machine!
