I've been here on island for just over 3 months now. I'm stationed here with the Marines and looking to run the H.U.R.T. 100 next year. I read about it when I was reading "Born To Run" So far the longest distance I've completed was when I ran the San Francisco Marathon in 08, ran it in 3:37, only trained for it for 3 weeks though, boy was the week after not fun, I won't make that mistake again.

I'll be out at Kaena Point tomorrow morning, looking forward to the run and meeting everyone. Also would like to become a regular for the training runs.

Hi Jason,
For $10 we don't hand out shirts but we do give awards out to the fastest 10 men and fastest 10 women. We also have HURT Trail Series shirts available for purchase for $20. They are nice Patagonia tech shirts. Also we typically put together a great picnic/potluck after the race so you get good value for your money!
We hope to see you out there.

Hi ya,

A group of us just flew into town and would like to do the race on the 3rd if thats possible. We are a crazy group of Rescue Swimmers in the Navy and love a challenge. A couple guys want to know if you hand out t shirts for the HURT runs? Thanks

Wow. I might actually be able to make this one. Gee, I've only been talking about showing up for one of these for about 18 months.

Looking forward to it Bob and Barbi!!! Aloha

Bob and Barbi,

I am available again to start the early walkers/joggers. I can bring extra tables that you need for the potluck. (We have two long ones). Please let me know if there is anything else I can do. It will be nice getting to sleep-in for this run. LOL
