Adam, Definitely get a hydration pack or carry 2 bottles. A full 27-mile loop averages 6+ hours and there is only one reliable stash of water with which to refill. It can get very hot out there.

Adam

I'm gonna be coming out to a HURT run for the first time and don't know any of you. Just wanna let somebody know that a newcomer is gonna try making it out there. Please don't leave before 0645! Also don't know if bringing just one bottle of water is enough or should I go get that camel back I've been looking at???

Rob

I'll be putting in an application tomorrow or Friday to take my truck to the 3 way for the race. If anyone wanted to join me up there or help me out at that aid station I need to know asap (I would like to go around the course and take some pictures, but if I'm there by myself am kind of tethered to the truck). If you want to take your own vehicle I can put you on my application, I just need your license plate number. If you want to ride up there with me I still need to put you on the application. Once you're on the application you're not obligated to go. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions!

Sean

The group starting early at Long Road will not be running the standard race loop. If you're looking to get a handle on the actual course so you don't get lost on race day you're better off sleeping in a bit and starting with the airport crowd at 6:45.

Hi Sue:

Here's a good document on the Peacock Flats course by Mike Muench and Sean Price.

I think the early start will be 5:00am at the bottom of the long road. Will let you know if that changes.

Sue

Does anyone have the link to the pdf trail map for the 27 mile loop @ Peacock Flats? Also, when and where is the earlier group meeting and are you planning to run the loop? Assessing my options!

Jake H

There will be a few of us starting earlier at Long Road...
