Last week we had a lot of posted comments on when and where people were going out! Let's continue that this week as well. Lots of people need the encouragement and opportunity. Nothing more harsh than going out on yer own in the rain and dark. Fun, but harsh, no?
Also please post your week day training as well. Who know you may get some unexpected and enjoyable company.
I believe there is a runner coming in from the west who wants to run a loop on Friday. Please check the left margin for that posted comment if you can or want to do an after noon loop on Friday. Always nice to show a bit of Aloha.
Saturday morning at 6:30 from the water tanks will be the standard training run. Cheryl will clarify this if it does not quite suit the Wahine Ali'i Kukini . (I just do the posts)
Lots of time left....more than a month till the HURT. Relax, no sweat, it won't come back to haunt you until late THAT Saturday night when you ARE all alone in the wind and the rain in the dark, and that crazy quy is running along side you 10 feet off the trail clacking all that bamboo, and you start making up lame excuses to stop and go home....like its unfair to your family for you to be out in the cold rainy night, or you need to wash the car tomorrow, or you've suddenly decided that trail running shortens your life, or discovered that raspberry goo gives you hives, or .....you tell me what it will be because it will likely be something.
Run, run while you can because you will have to keep running while you can't if you don't train.
Good Luck and Aloha!
Mikem.

OK, We have to back our start time up probably by 30 minutes or so we may not be up to Nature Center until 3:30.
Aloha, Bob
P.S. It was dumping rain driving home on the Pali tonight in Nuuanu.

hey there....
i will be vacationg in honolulu for the first time, flying in dec 9, from new york. i am running in the marathon that sunday. probably my favorite terrain is the trails. if no one minds, i'd love to jump in on a few trail runs while i am there. i am always checking the posts, and it sounds so exciting. the trails seem amazing. you all seem to have some good communication going on with many runners happy to form group runs.
anyway, i'll be there from the 9th to the 16th. looking forward to meeting/running with some of you.
my best,
~maggie

Howzit Runners!
I'll be starting at the end of Manoa Road on Saturday at 5:00am if anyone wants to get an early start. My plan is to run 1 loop plus 2 Nuuanu repeats.
Thanks,
Doug

I'm coming over from the mainland to do some practice on the course beginning on Friday, Dec. 2. Anyone who is familiar with the course interested in doing a HURT loop beginning about 2:30 PM on Dec. 2? I understand that tackling even part of it at night by yourself if you don't know the course is not recommended . . .
Feel free to comment or to contact me directly at bengator@yahoo.com.

I guess another option if you want to run Friday and our start time is too early would be to meet us over at Paradise around 5 p.m.
Aloha,
Bob

Aloha Runners,
Barbi and I are planning on running at least a loop late Friday afternoon/evening starting from the Nature Center. We hope to be running by 3 p.m.--not fast. This is a lighter weekend for us since we are doing the Xterra run on Sunday. Let me know if you can make it out at this time. It is a bit early but we want to do about half in the light and half in the dark, thus the 3 p.m. start.
Aloha, Bob
