Awesome pics.. really is a beautiful place!

Robert

Thank you all for your generous compliments. So nice to be appreciated so much and welcomed into the HURT Ohana. The views out at Peacock are amazing and the amount of light over most of the course really helps when it comes to taking photos. It’s extremely difficult, actually downright impossible without the more expensive gear (camera and lens), to get great exposures like these on the much darker trails of the HURT100 course.

There are still several areas of the course that I didn’t get to shoot from so I’m definitely looking forward to shooting you all again next year and for years to come.

Heather really made my first experience as a pacer very simple and a whole lot of fun, not what I’ve read in some other pacer’s reports, so not what I was really expecting. Fortunately she is experienced enough in ultras that I could trust her judgment when enough was enough and we completed Loop 2 together safely, which was my primary objective. Having such a favorable first experience is going to make the decision that much harder when it comes to photographing or pacing the longer distance events that I’m not running myself.

Looking forward to many more years of capturing and sharing the memories with a great group of people.

Robert, all of your pictures are wonderful memories of the events we do, but you outdid yourself at Peacock. You have such a good eye, and you really capture the flavor of the rugged trail running event. We appreciate the enormous amount of time and energy you put into your picture shows for us. What a great addition to HURT you are!

Julie Ng

Thanks, Robert! Your pics at Peacock are really great! Thanks also for helping direct cars in the morning and pacing late into the night. You were everywhere!

Rosie

Robert, You are a priceless addition to the HURT Ohana! I'm always amazed at all you do for us and for taking on the role of unofficial HURT photographer! I'll def be in touch to get some soft copies from you soon :-)

Hey Robert!!! Thank YOU so much for being out there... EVRY TIME!!! As much fun as it was to see you hiding out and waiting for our unsuspecting faces to turn a corner, it was even MORE FUN to see you out on course pacing!!!

Good JOB, Robert!!!

And THANK YOU for the Aloha!!!!

Erik Tanaka

Thanks so much for all of your hard work & aloha, Robert! Also, much respect for pacing Heather! Thanks again =) Aloha, Erik
