Aloha Athletes,
Well you can tell the HURT 100 is finished and people are itching to run anywhere but on the HURT course.
I hope that this year we can get back to more variety in the trails we run. Oahu does really have more to offer than the Makiki/Tantalus trail system or Peacock. We used to run more varied trails and I for one would like to see that. Who else?
However for this week and at Cheryl's request, we are headed back up to Peacock. She says meet at the Dillingham Airport gate at 6:45 which means probably running by 7:00 a.m. at the latest. The parking area is behind the Control Tower. If you are unfamiliar with this or need directions, please post your request in the comments below this post. She said something about a short loop or long for the rabbits--whatever that means. I think it means make sure you have at least 64 ounces of hydration, electrolytes, nutrition and sunscreen. Again, if you are a newby or need more info, post your questions in the comment section.
Get out there and run!
Aloha, Bob

I'm interested in running with you all this year. I love trails and long distance running, but haven't found the right people or places since I came here last June. What are the distances for the short and long loops?
Thanks,
Ashlee :)

Benita, think I'm going to join you on Sunday. Where do you plan to go

Greeting, I was riding my mtn bike at the flats last weekend and lost my Volkswagon keys and a bike tool. I'm guessing they are somewhere where the dirt trail starts on the far side away from the airfield. If anyone happens to find the keys please let me know (they are very expensive to replace).
Thanks,

I can't make it Saturday, but plan on starting at long road on Sunday at 0600. Parking in the neighborhood. Anyone is welcome to join.
