Aloha Athletes,
Wow, it is February already (almost as I type this) and 1/12 of 2013 is gone.
Cheryl says back to Peacock for this weekend and why sleep-in?
6:00 a.m. Start from the parking area behind the Control Tower at Dillingham Airfield. Hopefully the gate will be open that early. Probably a Gordon's Loop. If you have never ran up at Peacock, this is a great way to start to familiarize yourself with the trails and roads up there.
Bring at least 60 oz of hydration and a snack.
Aloha, Bob

Not sure how far the distance was, but the trails and views were beautiful today! The gate opened promptly at 6AM and we were back at our cars after before 11:30. Looking forward to getting up there again soon.

Answering my own question: I'm going to guess it's Kuaokala Road & Trail (7.6 mi total), but starting from the airfield, that includes Kealia Trail & Road (6 miles round trip). So 13.6 miles with a pretty significant elevation change.

Guys, how long is a Gordon's loop?

I'm fairly new at trail running, but would love to start running with your group. Is this trail okay for someone like me?
